Re: AVG Internet Security Network Edition

Well at my last job we had AVG anti-virus network edition, not Internet Security but we were VERY pleased with it!

As far as cost it fit wonderfully into our budget. Setup was a bit tricky as I tried to deploy the clients via the built in client setup utility and couldn't get it to work. I ended up manually installing the client software on each client (took an entire day and part of the night).

Once the server side software was running and configured the clients contacted the server and updated/checked/tested perfectly.

If I ever had another IT job and needed an AV or IS I would go with AVG again. A few folks at »www.nobts.edu that work in the IT department even said if they had to do it again (currently using Symantec) that they would push for AVG.
Well that's great to hear! The reason I chose the Internet Network edition is because it has everything the regular Network edition has plus more. My Supervisors are REALLY impressed with the pricing. And they asked me to check in and see WHY exactly is it so much cheaper than Symantec. And also to see if anyone else used it and what their thoughts on it was. The free version is great! I can only assume the paid version is soo much better.

Has anyone used it? Comments on it?

Most likely my boss said we're gonna go with them instead of Symantec due to pricing. Wanted to get some comments on it before hand though.
