| Comcast outages in Sunnyvale, CA
Did anyone get notification about the scheduled outages in Sunnyvale, CA over the next few months? I was told this morning (only because I demanded to speak to a manager ) that I can expect no services during the day for the next 2-3 weeks. I would think for a service disruption this major that Comcast would have sent notifications to customers. I was down a day last week and been down since yesterday morning -- no cable tv, no internet. |

@comcast.net | Nope, no notification from me either. Outages are happening at all times of day and night and internet speeds are horrifically slow now. |

| Yes, for the last week there have definitely been outages/maintenance and generally poor consistency in service.
See my recent post in the Comcast HSI forum, for the master ticket # for lastnight/this morning's outage: »[Connectivity] Outage: Sunnyvale, CA area

| reply to NDO Comcast working on cable on my block past 2 weeks(North Sunnyvale). Talked with them, asked when they would be done. They said that they were completed and would be certified today and they would be rolling out new service on Sept. 12, On demand and unspecified enhancements, that Sunnyvale was know "state of the art" |

| reply to NDO Nice - I hope that means Comcast will be in my part of Sunnyvale soon. I haven't seen them around yet, but am hopeful. A tech who was at my place recently said he thought it should all be done by the end of the year.
It should give Sunnyvale OnDemand (which was mentioned) as well as all the HD channels that other Bay Area cities are getting (and other digital channels as well). He said this upgrade will actually place Sunnyvale above many other cities in the area (Los Gatos, Saratoga, Hayward, San Leandro, and Half Moon Bay also getting upgraded I believe). |

@comcast.net | reply to NDO Crews were in my neighborhood (Old SF Rd & Fair Oaks) earlier this week laying new cable. Looks like On Demand is finally on the way and Sunnyvale's cable services will finally offer what was available nearly everywhere else since 2003. |
