| Verizon FIOS has very limited availability Fortunately for the Cable and Satellite operators Verizon will never have FIOS available in more than 30 or 40 percent of the state. Verizon has cut off all further deployment of FIOS in Mass unless & until the legislature gives Verizon a statewide video franchise. Oh yeah, and they are also going around and saying if the state doesn't let them keep a tax exemption on their telephone poles (that was given in the 1920s to encourage the introduction of telephone service to rural areas), they will cut back their spending in Massachusetts. |
