Somehow the Mediacom private IP address range is connected with Comcast. I wonder what kind of relationship the two have?
I don't know of any official link, but they both own former chunks of TCI/AT&T Broadband/etc. Mediacom bought some areas (like in Iowa) before Comcast bought up the rest in 2001-2002. Perhaps there is some legacy infrastructure sharing left?
