| reply to dmolavi Honestly, I'm surprised she replied. While it was good that you supported your comments with links, etc., your tone in this note (and in others you've sent to TB and posted here) was overly confrontational and, IMO, disrespectful. That being said, though, the way SR (mis)handled their demise, the way Sherwood (mis)handled the disposition of SR's assets, and the way TB (mis)handled the initiation of their fledgling company, your anger is not at all misplaced.
My point is not to slam you, to appear 'holier-than-thou', or to invite a flame war. I just think that if you really want open and honest replies, a friendlier tone would more likely result in the replies you're asking for. Peace. |

| no offense taken. however, when it comes to debacles like this, i don't BS. I tell it how it is, straightforward and honest.

| reply to tj008 said by tj008 :I ported to VoicePulse. On Tuesday, the numbers were yanked back. Calls showed up in the SR Member portal. VoicePulse yanked em back harder. Got a call around 5pm that all was well. Wait a minute -- everyone missed the most significant part of this entire thread -- your VOIP provider actually called you back about a problem? How the hell did that happen? We've all been trained that VOIP providers don't call customers back!! Maybe send an e-mail or reply to a ticket, but a phone call? No shit....
Clearly a bunch of us around here (and in the VT forum) hitched our wagons to the wrong mule. Way to go Voicepulse... |

| reply to downinkc My number hasn't been ported (yet) to VT, but hopefully soon. Anyway - today is the first day in which my old SR number is now dead...although it really isn't dead...my old number is now an advertisement for TB. It rings once, and then a recording comes on to the effect "Sunrocket phone numbers are now dead. You should use TeleBlend. Press 0 to order new service thru TB". I don't think they OWN my number in order to turn my phone # into their advertisement, do they???? |

| reply to dmolavi I don't disagree. In her position with TB, she needs to get to the bottom of these issues and should have had procedures in place to prevent them. (Given the age of the company, though, procedures are an after thought...) It all depends on what you're looking for--if you're looking to point out issues to them (that they likely already know about), keep it up. But if you're seriously looking for answers, your approach probably isn't the best... |

| reply to RMag Login to sunrocket.com member portal, change your settings to "Do Not Disturb" and it will go straight to voicemail. I enabled DnD, enabled Voicemail for my number, called the number, pressed * to setup voicemail, setup my greeting, and I'm done. Now when people call they instantly here my greeting instructing them to call my cell or leave a message. |

Clearly a bunch of us around here (and in the VT forum) hitched our wagons to the wrong mule. Way to go Voicepulse... When the whole SR thing went down, one of the few companies that really sounded like a step up in both quality and value that I read about on-line was VoicePulse. I signed up with them that very first week. I spoke to very knowledgeable and professional reps on the phone.
The next day, I got the bad news in a personal call from VoicePulse that they cold not port my number. They asked if I still wanted to proceed BEFORE shipping the equipment. Unfortunately, not keeping our number for well over 10 years is not an option, so we had to regretfully decline. A credit on my CC was there the very next day.
I went to their website and logged my e-mail for when LNP is available in my area. I certainly hope to hear from them and would not hesitate to leave TB if that option with my number was there.
A-OK in my book (and I have no association with them whatsoever): »www.voicepulse.com/ |

| I'm surprised they indicated they could not port your number, as they do offer Cary numbers. Out of curiosity, what are the middle 4 digits of your number (I assume 919 area code)? 919-xxx-xyyy (don't post the 'y' digits for your privacy, but the 'x' digits are necessary to confirm your "rate center" for portability) Even if you have an Apex number, you should be able to port (they say I can, but I'm happy with CallVantage...) |

| reply to tj008 I never went with Teleblend. What I find funny or odd is TB implied that to keep your number & avoid having it ported to go with them.
To all of those that did go w/TB, I'm sure you read TB's terms of service when you signed up. If you need to review it, go to their web site and look at the paragraph starting with 'Telephone Number' under the USE OF SERVICE section. You will see that "Upon termination of the Service, TeleBlend may, in its sole discretion, release a Number that was ported in from a previous service provider to TeleBlend." There's more to the paragraph, but you get the point.
After reading these comments it sounds like they were even snatching SR numbers of the ones that never signed up with them. These TB people don't sound very nice. In fact, their actions indicate some may be on drugs, or some illegal substance. If they're not and acting the way they do, they need to be! |

| reply to Fisamo NP at all. I'm 919-460-8. Rate center should be Cary, NC. Have friend in the Apex rate that was denied with 919-362-9 as well. A shame, but I realize VP is a smaller outfit and probably doesn't have the agreements set up that a larger voip company is going to have.
Also have a relative in No VA with 703-737-3 that VP couldn't port a number as well, which I found most surprising. While their website implied porting was possible in all these cases, I found it to be much more limited. |

| reply to downinkc This is all very disturbing news. I'm glad, this time at least, I made a better decision to cut all ties, request a chargeback and chose to let SR/Teleblender keep my number. And kudos to dmolavi for stepping in to help. I don't think that correspondence was in any way rude or disrespectful. It was professional, to the point, showed concern and demanded respect. |

| reply to dmolavi said by dmolavi :said by Moorecards :I have to say that is well written with the links supporting it. Hopefully you will get a replay reply received: Im looking for an answer from our network engineers now. We have not initiated any transfers that Im aware of, but many problems have occurred behind the scenes with our vendors and due to the fact that some people originally signed up with us and then ported after a few days due to problems. More info as soon as I have it available. It's the vendors fault AGAIN, huh.
Of course, we'll fall for that AGAIN.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Great work, dmolavi! Thank you! -- Please stop blending my Tele! |

| I ported from Verizon to SR within 2 days, 2 years later I'm trying to port from SR to Packet8 and 2 weeks later no porting, no answers, nothing.
The government needs to set regulations for these VOIP companies, which of course will take longer than any process known to man. |
