All they would need to do is making the phone able to hop on any wireless network and connect to a voip box on their end and then the customer could use any internet connection. Verizon could then just keep tallying up your minutes while you are on VOIP and then they continue to make money. Damn commen sense, or damn not screwing over the customer.
