 | Hold on a second. How could they get the line activated without an account? Something is not right here. |

You need a box to get premium channels. Going up the pole to steal cable will only get you basic cable. -- People pray to God because they're told to. |

1 edit | reply to new2fios Unless they are using addressable taps they can get standard analog services without any type of activation. |

 | I've only know of a few select locations that Time Warner uses addressable taps, mainly in the Valley, but still only a couple small areas. |

| 3 connects in one day is hardly overqualified.
Give a pro 3 jobs per day and he better do a good job.
Three connects with no boxes to install? That's barely a morning's worth of work at the cable company. T/W should fire him for low productivity. -- To get back on your feet, miss two car payments. |

| reply to okie11 It's not that he did a good job, I mean think about it, people were ARRESTED. He gave them free cable, and if they called him after it got shut off by Time Warner, he'd probably go back out for free and hook their service back up. He only got praised because he was a one man crew with 170 people that had free service. He most likely came out as soon as the phone rang, and hooked their illegal service back up the same day. Now think about it this way, cable company may have 25 field techs handling 8,000 customers, which means 320 customers per tech. This guy was handling 170 people. The percentage of people who called him for a problem or to get service activated was low, so he could be there in a few hours to fix their service. The cable company comes out the next day, or two days later because of the higher percentage of customers per tech. OF COURSE THEY SAID HE DID A GREAT JOB. And he would ONLY connect 3 people a day. So considering he has the rest of his day open to fix illegal service, I'd say he had it made. Given the fact that a legit cable tech will do an average of 15 installs in one day. But whatever. |
