You have an odd view of "out in the sticks." Rensselaer, IN is within 2 miles of I-65 and according to Sprint's coverage map you're getting broadband wireless for two reasons: You're in the broadband footprint for Chicago/Gary and you're next to an Interstate that goes to the state capital. I'm within 20 miles of a city with a population of 150,000 and within 5 miles of an interstate and there is no Sprint coverage at all.
