[Unlock] {Unlock} RTP-300 accidently loaded 1.00.62-NA now c

My first experience unlocking a Vonage RTP-300 went great using the tivonpw etc. method. Unfortunately I loaded the 1.00.62-NA firmware rather than the 3.x.

Now I can't figure out the password to enable up grade.

I get access to the voice pages etc and can get the thing to register with my VSP (vBuzzer) I fiddled with the dial plan and I think that is OK now.

Could someone please look at my syslog and tell me if there is something simple I'm doing wrong?

Also what the heck do MMM and SSMU stand for?

TIA

This is a very strange situation that you can't figure out the password to perform a firmware upgrade, yet still be able to access the SIP menus. Something is not right here.

The unit was locked on Vonage.

I unlocked it and loaded the 1.00.62-NA FW. I now have full control of the voice pages without using anything other than the password/user I program for access to the router.

If I go to the Administration tab and select Firmware Upgrade it flips to a page asking for Username and Password. Neither the User/Pass I programmed nor the Vonage passwords will allow me to perform the upgrade.

It sure looks like the unit is working except for that last line in the syslog.

It's asking for the Admin password, not admin.

This will be the password CYT put in there. Or try running cyt again. You modified the permissions on the web screens so user and admin have Admin rights but there is another screen it goes to that often gets missed and it actually checks Admin rights.

Ah I didn't use CTY as I don't have a Windowz machine. I used the "tivonpw" password. I have tried the Capital A as well as all caps and several other variations.

One of the reason I want this to work is apparently the 1.00.62-NA F.W. supports pulse dialing and I need to support rotary.

Could someone please tell me what the MMM and the SSMU signify in the syslog?

If you are still a rotary phone (unless it is an antic rotary phone), you may want to consider to invest $10 to purchase a touch-tone phone to make your life easier. Some DollarTree stores may have a simple touch-tone phone for $1.

dennisdunbar, can you help me with the settings of vbuzzer on RTP300? I have an unlocked RTP300 but not successful with vbuzzer so far. I used all the usual setting of vbuzzer.com and port 80 on the Line 1 Voice page, but ended up with successful provision and a dialtone, but no registration. However, I was able to configure stanaphone no problem.

If you can share your settings (screenshots?) I will really appreciate it.
