 [VoiceStick] Issues calling 800 number

I am not able to call 888.695.1379, can hear 1 ring and then it is just dead air.

Can any other Voicestick users confirm if they are able to call this number or not. I am able to dial this number from other phones the issue is just with VoiceStick

Confirmed. Works however with CallCentric, VoipBuster, GizmoProject, les.net.

I've noticed some other toll free numbers that VoiceStick has trouble with. I didn't write them down at the time.

Edit: I looked at a packet trace and VoiceStick is handling the sip signaling a little differently from the other providers. I would say they have a bug somewhere since they don't startup their side of the rtp packets.

The reason could be it's a calling card number.

I have the same trouble. As I was not able to call international numbers directly, I wanted to use a 1-866 number of a calling card and it just gives dead silence.

I emailed them and got a reply from Harper Evans that it's a calling card number and hence they don't allow that to be dialed from there network.

This sucks as it's not written in terms and conditions anywhere. I can understand that I am on a next2nothing plan, so they might be doing this, but in this case, they are leaving me with no way to call that international number as there direct calling also does not work and they will take ages to reply to that ticket of mine.
