I tried faxing with Magicjack. The fax appeared to go through however, the receiver received either a garbled or cut off document.

As has been said, it appears to depend on the local unit attached to the MJ line.

By "local unit" , do you mean the fax machine itself?

Also, I notice the softphone accesses your favorites (bookmarks). I wonder if this info is sent to Majicjack....

I am using a Canon MP390 multifunciton. Anyone else have similar?

I was able to send the fax through my voicestick line.
