sharing files within network??

Hi all,

I just setup Network Magic in my PC and Laptop...i was wondering if i share files within the network (PC-LAPTOP or LAPTOP-PC) does it = to more bandwidth used?? or is it only the files downloaded/uploaded from the internet that counts towards bandwidth usage??

I have also noticed that after installing Network Magic ...there was a constant download usage of 0.2kb/s and uploading of 0.6kb/s (according to DUmeter)going on?? if i stop network magic service..it goes back to normal (only slight 0.1kb/s when not usin net)....anyone knows if that means that if i have network magic on for hours...the bandwidth usage will keep going up?? or is it that its only getting info from the router/modem nd thats why DUmeter is always showing that and that it wont count towars bell's bandwidth usage...

Thanks

No it doesn't, that would be LAN traffic, only WAN traffic, through the modem, counts as bandwidth.

If DUmeter monitors 'all' network traffic then it could just be just Network Magic monitoring the LAN between your PCs and have nothing to do with the WAN. Therefore it wouldn't add to your bandwidth.
