I would agree with daveinpoway. Getting the (deep) discount and then just waiting for the installation is the way to go. That's how I got my ZASS and will do so again before my subscription is up in 69 days. |

| reply to exocet_cm If the timing is right for you, Fry's (and perhaps other places as well) will periodically have ZA Pro available for free after discounts and rebates. So, all it will cost you is sales tax and the postage to mail in the rebate form(s). Worth watching the weekly sales flyers and buying ZA Pro a few months before your present one expires. Your subscription starts when you install the program, not when you purchase it, so you aren't using up any of your subscription time while the disc sits around waiting for your present installation to expire. |

| I have a Dell Dimension 8100 running xp home sp2. I have used zone alarm with anti-virus ($19.95) for several years. I am up for renewal
I run the free version of Zone Alarm firewall and the free version of AVG anti-virus on my wife's E1505 laptop.
I run Ad-Aware; Spybot; spyware blaster on both systems as well.
My question is should I renew with ZA/AV or switch over to the free versions.
I know this is not a life-death decision but I would appreciate any input. |
