This general is an idiot instead of changing how people can access the restricted files they want to control the software!
brilliant!
I doubt if he is an idiot. If you would have taken time to read the blurb you would have realized that he is actually rather clever - "P2P Weblog notes that Clark is a board member for Tiversa, a company that sells "file sharing risk assessment and monitoring services," which explains his enthusiasm".

You need to be careful how you randomly throw the term "idiot" around, just because you do not agree with what he is doing does not make him an idiot. A greedy conniving *insert favorite derogatory term* maybe, but not an idiot. Only an idiot would fail to see the profit potential.

Unfortunately it's not just politicians. Lining pockets through FUD and misinformation is traits also of lawyers, businessmen, and clergy. It's been that way for centuries.

Agreed. Another corrupt politician attempting to line his own pocket through FUD and misinformation. Why doesn't this moron simply recommend that all government-related networks and systems simply be "locked down" so that all known P2P traffic is not allowed? Why do they allow people to connect to P2P networks from government offices in the first place??
