Re: XBOX 360 and FiOs(Actiontec M1424WR) This wasn't too bad but I had other weirdness as well. I have a Belkin Pre-N router. After calling VZ and finding out the Actiontec is bogus with consoles, I set it up as an access point and disabled the ActionTec (VZ) wireless.
The weird thing is, my wireless laptop can only connect through the Belkin. I had tried turning on both router's wireless, to see which router had better range. I gave them separate SSID's and separate WEP keys. But I couldn't get the laptop to connect through the VZ router no matter how I fudged with it. So now I again disabled the VZ wireless.
The Xbox has great connectivity, it's pretty fast downloading demos, at least as good as it was on Cox. (Not sure how fast wireless is vs a hard wired) |
