Its not getting worse for all areas, its getting better. My satisfaction with charter gets better every year, as do most in my area. Only a few locations gets the majority of complaints..mostly West Coast users.

Its far from just being complaints from the coasts. I would get dozens of complaints every day about poor service in just the St. Louis area that we supported. We had one particular area in St. Louis county that went down almost daily around 6pm and another area like that just across the river in Illinois. It got to the point that I knew people by voice recognition because they were calling every day.

There are places that the service works well. Mine works pretty much all the time except they cant get my bill right and keep turning off things I should have like VOD and my high def channels. Even though the service works, the lack of customer support makes me want to switch to something else. Although I was happy with the services provided, I only received 5 correct bills in 12 months. Probably spent around 25-30 hrs on the phone in 1 year to get all my billing and other issues resolved. When it takes a company 3-4 months to bury a drop and 7 calls in one day to get a cable card activated properly, problems run deeeep.
