FYI: channel logo not showing up on new guide

I have a standard STB, QIP2500-2. The channel logos were not showing up in the guide. After numerous calls to Verizon, they figured out that the 2500-2 STB does not support the channel logos. They are sending someone tomorrow to swap out the box. Not sure what model I will get, but my other box is a 2500-3. Hopefully I get one of those or maybe something newer.

Hopefully this information might help someone.

Interesting. I didn't know there were two different model numbers on the standard boxes. I'll have to check mine.

I just got my 2500-2 replaced with a -3. Everything is well now.

Eric,
How do you tell which version you have? I looked at mine and it only says QIP2500 on the bottom

It says on the front of the STB in the bottom left corner.

Have you experienced any other problems with the -2 boxes? I have one and the channel logos not showing up won't bother me enough to have them come out and replace it. So if there are no other problems...

That's the only problem I noticed, but I only had the new IMG for one day with the -2 box.

Damn, I got a -1. I feel so left out.

No channel logos here on the IMG and some of the text runs together when looking at the full-screen info. Not a huge deal, though.

We were the first public customer in New England to get the Verizon FIOS TV so we've got what ever they first started using :-P
