Re: WHR-HP-G54. tomato 1.07 help King Nine, if your using Vista, then you prolly don't have tftp installed. few people use it. WinXp installs it by default. you have to add it yourself. It's good that micrsoft wised up and not install in vista cuz worms can use it, ever heard of Blaster. Anyhow, I often package the tftp.exe WITH my firmware, the one that need it and DELETE it when done. It keeps my system slightly more safer.
Install it from vista, use it, then uninstall it or package it with your firmware and archive it somewhere else (not in the system path). | | | Assuming your router's IP is 192.168.11.1, in order to upload DD-WRT or Tomato via tftp, do this:
Type on the command prompt *before* pressing ENTER:
tftp -i 192.168.11.1 put code.trx
Then restart the router and as soon as the power light turns on, press ENTER (while you're still at the Command Prompt). The code.trx file will be uploaded successfully via tftp. :)
I've done it successfully on Buffalo and Linksys routers.
