Re: grrrrrrrrr!!! stupid international ISP's!!! How are they a monopoly? Everywhere Videotron serves, you have the choice of dozens of different broadband ISPs with technologies such as ADSL, ADSL2+, wimax, 3G, etc.
Myself, seeing Videotron as too expensive, just signed up with an ADSL2+ provider. If they don't satisfy me (because they don't have a very good rep), I'll sign up with an ADSL provider that I've got my eye on.
So, where is this monopoly, exactly?
