downgrading to the High Speed Internet package

how many people are gonna downgrade to the limited package and pay the additional 30$ fee?
i did it before upgrading to unlimited but now i'm seriously considering going back.

also, anyone with that package get a letter about Videotron lifting the cap on the 30$? yes, no? i dont wanna get gouged once i get there by not being informed. i'm trying to figure out my options. thanks.

Good question about lifting the cap - Customer Service said no, but who knows. Still, the prospect of paying $5 per month for a 30% reduction in speed really pisses me off.

Another alternative is to switch to Business service for $99 per month (with contract).

I checked with the Office de Protection de la Consommateur about what recourse we have against the Tron, and they informed me that while you can't sue a company in small claims court to uphold the terms a contract, you can sue for damages. So I might switch to the Business service to preserve the Unlimited downloads, then sue Videotron for the damages (additional fees incurred over the life of the contract). I am sending them a nasty letter today to inform them of this; we'll see what happens!
