This equipment was brought to Lenexa, KS to a warehouse and crushed. The ION footprint was much different then the local footprint as we re-sold pairs from the local bell.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/372937"><b>Dezbend</b></A> : ION was a Sprint Long Distance venture.  Sprint Long Distance is part of Sprint-Nextel not Embarq (although the local division which became Embarq did purchase much of the equipment from the long distance division).<br><br>Embarq tech support (and customer service) is based mainly in America.  There are a few contract centers out of country (Canada for instance - but is that really a different country - isn't just like Alaska?)<br><br>As Embarq is an ILEC not a CLEC, I would not hold my breath waiting for the rebirth of ION.  If it came it would come from Sprint-Nextel who got out of the local telephone business.<br><SMALL>--<br>If it is not recorded, it simply does not exist.</SMALL>]]></description>
