This is serious competition. The beauty of using WiMax is that it has the full backing of Intel. Intel is already making WiMax chips, and ultimately it will (if all goes well) be integrated in laptops. This has the potential to snowball and really become *the* wireless standard (for voice, too, using VoIP handsets). Wouldn't that be nice?
