When ION was shut down (well before the merger or subsequent spin-off) Sprint Local purchased many of the ION DSLAMs from Sprint Long Distance to increase DSL penetration in local territory. The equipment sale I referenced was years before the separation. -- If it is not recorded, it simply does not exist.

YesIKnow @embarqhsd.net	Re: Too bad they won't leverage Ion. Wrong ION DSLAM's, MGX8850's and Passport 6400's were all detroyed as part of the write off due to legality reason's. This equipment was brought to Lenexa, KS to a warehouse and crushed. The ION footprint was much different then the local footprint as we re-sold pairs from the local bell.
