 | its all part of the system. if you dont like the system, dont buy into it in the first place. many companies now offer contract free plans..
and it you dont mind the idea of a contract, but rather the length, companies like tmobiles contract lengths are more like 1 year rather than two. |

How about some examples of 'many companies' plus prove that they have more coverage than just one state. |

dadkinsCan you do Blu?Premium,MVM join:2003-09-26 Hercules, CA kudos:18 1 edit | Like... this? Virgin Mobile is on Sprint PCS... NO Raoming charges either!
Q. Does Virgin Mobile coverage include roaming?
A.With Virgin Mobile, there is no roaming. No roaming means no roaming charges.
You can use your Virgin Mobile phone anywhere in Virgin Mobile and extended digital coverage areas across the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
If you leave our coverage area, all your text messages will be saved for up to 72 hours. Voicemail messages will be saved until you return.
Austin, Texas? Sure!

| I know Virgin is a good deal but what I was saying was there are very few carriers out there that don't require the 2 yr contract (which sucks).
Now, Virgin, T-mobile, and sprint can't even be options for me due to were some of my friends and family live.

People can pay full price for the phone and not buy into a contract. But people are so into "free" phones or "cheap" ones, they will go 2 years and bitch all the way. So, to those people I say, pay 600 bucks for that treo and shut up. |

| reply to MrMaster T-Mobile doesnt offer contracts either for the same service. They offer a service called FlexPay. Use the same phones, same services- including Fav5 and just pay monthly. You buy the phone you want plus one month up front but hey no contract and you get the same services and coverage. |
