| [OT] Canadian postcodes - nearby users Sorry this took so long, Canada peoples: I bought a subscription to a canadian postcode database with lat/long and so now »/who works for finding local dslr users. Big whoop, I know. But I'll use it for a 'nearby review' function at »/reviews soon, which might be more useful. |

I punched in my postal code, instead of typing out the actual city and province, and it pulled up the location. Very nice!
I see that the database is formatted according to Canada Post addressing standards--in other words, ALL CAPS. That's too bad, but it's still nice to have an even more Canadian friendly site.

I just wish postal codes were not down to 4-5 house on a street.

Can postal codes entered without a space be parsed so that they also give search results? I know the proper formatting for postal codes uses a space after the third character but over the years I've got used to it either way. Maybe I'm just lazy. |
