why not charge MORE for the phone?

Just stop the stupid "discounting" of the phone, increase
the price of the phone, and have no contract. Just unlock
the phone, give us a competitive rate and be done with all
this BS.
The #1 reason I by unlocked phones is because I don't want to
be tied to a $!@%$ contract.

New Jersey		 I agree carriers need to be separated from there phones. The GSM spec was specifically designed to provide that. I would rather pay full price, and not have a contract. They be locked in forever.
