Firmware is a dirty thing to play with as Bicephale would attest to.... The tweakers (thanks again ThilhasBB!) thread seems to have had some pretty crazy following (»SpeedTouch 516 Tweaking :))

true but it would be nice to have alot of these frequent tech questions formally addressed. i mean if you look at the forum most of the threads are all the same.

People pretty much do that already. I made a thread about needing help with the 2-wire. If you want to know about your modem start a thread. Many have done it already everyone always helped. I guess the mods could make a sticky about modem help.

God knows allot are threads are made on how to set-up x modem and how do I get my stats.

hey tsi techs you think it would be okay if we can start a modem firmware thread? i mean i notice a lot of users asking about this particular thing. and i think if we have one it will help clear the air for most of us. i mean if the link is in plain site most ppl wont ask at all.

there should be basic stuff like basic modem settings and simple how to for the more popular and widely used modems out there. i also think it would attract more ppl from other forums if this was applied. i would help start one but i am not sure if us users are allowed to do this kind of thing here.

also i also suggest on the teksavvy homepage in the teksupport section you should have a dslr support forum button for additional support options i also think this would ease some calls made as well.

to be very honest since i have become a member on here i have found this forum to be the best source of support this far. a lot of members want more answers and sometimes technical things just cant be explained over the phone.

i mean don't get me wrong the level of service tsi offers is out of this world fantastic but i do personally think the tek support page needs a little more work. another user is requesting a french page. i want that too.
