Re: What is the difference between the two services? MANY comcast markets are offering a basic local only phone service for $12 a month. If they are offering you a $20 package, take it and enjoy the cheap extra crap. If they don't have the $12 local only phone lines yet, they most likely will in 12 months.
They rolled out the $39 - $54 package up front but as the system gets settled in, they start adding the extra rate plans.
