Check if you're on interleave, if possible change to fast path.

You can get pings as low as 10-20ms

Kitchener, ON		 I am on fastpath, and have a perfect DSL line.

My pings are as expected. 10-20's are for TCP ICMP pings, not UDP ingame pings.
