Where is my choice? Unknown.
Download netmeter or dumeter then. Its always interesting to see how much data you consume!

Ok. Are there tools that work on routers?

BEFW11S4 v1, WRT54G v6 linksys official firmware v1.02.0, and WRT54G v2 right now with, DD-WRT v23 SP2 (09/15/06) std

I can on PCLinuxOS 2007 use KNemo, but I still will not know how much my parents and I use per month.

If I had netmeter or dumeter on their Windows based PCs, then I would have to add up how much my parents and I use per month.

I am pretty sure that you can set DDwrt to log your usage. Check their forums to find out.

I replied "Less than 10GB per Month", but I cannot give a good answer, as I do not keep track.

I don't BitTorrent, but I surf a lot and E-mail a bit.

Carry on.

We are getting close to 100 responses, so keep the votes coming so we can get a true (representative) perspective of average bandwidth usage!

I use Tomato to do this.

Edit: I chose 70-100. It used to be about 60/60, but I don't use my connection very much anymore, so it's dropped down by quite a bit. Sometimes lower than 70.

The average you get will not be the typical internet user. It will be the typical visitor-to-the-General-Questions-forum user.

The typical visitor-to-the-General-Questions-forum user who downloads so much stuff that they have to keep track of just how much they down/upload.

I don't know how much, since I don't keep track. It's certainly less than 10GB...
