[TWC] Mototola SB5120 Dallas TX unable acquire downstream channe

Recently setup service with RR in Dallas. Using Motorola Surfboard SB5120. Service worked fine for little over 1 week. Sunday morning, no service. Looked at modem, it has solid power light, blinking receive light, send and online lights are dark. Solid orange pc light. Check modem status page and it is stuck in the Acquire Downstream Channel task. Always says "In Progress". Under cable modem status it says "offline". Looking at the log, modem seems to be scanning the frequency to try and find the signal but has no lunch. Spoke with RR tech, who had me reboot modem several times with no change in modem functionality. He tried to ping the modem and had no packets received. Triple checked the coaxial cable between modem and wall.

Downstream Signal Values
Signal to Noise Ratio 23 db
QAM 256
Network Access Control Object off
Power Level -62 dBmV

So could the modem have gone bad overnight? Does being able to check the status page mean modem is most likely still ok? Or is the problem more likely to lie upstream somewhere, say where the cable comes into the property, or even further upstream? RR tech said it would be 5 business days for 1st available tech appointment.

TWC has been doing upgrades in Dallas in the past few weeks, knocking some people out of service. Go check the thread by mattdfw on "all day outage."
