Website won't let me order

I already have DSL via Sonic.net, although my contract expired. When I clicked through the links, this is what I got.
Our system indicates that you already have DSL or high-speed Internet access service installed on this phone line, or you have already placed an order. Please check the number and if incorrect, or if you would like to establish service for another line, try your order again.

Residential customers, if you continue to receive this message in error, please contact our customer service center at 1-877-722-3755 Mon-Fri, 7am-9pm; Sat 8am-5pm, closed on Sunday. Business customers, please call 1-866-722-9246 Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm.

Thank you for your interest in AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet.

I thought that was specifically AT&T/Bellsouth customers. Should not apply to Sonic.net customers.

This is a common problem for users of rebranded DSL lines,
the line owner (AT&T in this case) can't cutoff an third party DSL user, and even if you call Sonic.net to disconnect that maynot show up in the AT&T status/order computer for weeks.
You might have more luck via the phone, but I this problem shift from a third party back to verizon, according to them I would have to quit the third party then wait one or more weeks before verizon to reinstall.
When they cut the DSL off they also killed my phone line for a 3 day holiday weekend, so I canceled the verizon DSL and bought a cable modem.

Just to clarify, this is NOT "rebranded" DSL - it is sold wholesale to the ISP. There is a difference.
