It could be lightning related. I implied that when saying it only comes from thunderstorms because the only way you can have thunder is if lighting comes first.
I've had DSL in 2 other addresses and this is the first that drops the connection due to lightning storms.
I live a newer neighborhood and there are no visible power poles. From what I can see everything is buried underground (telephone, cable, electricity). That is why I don't understand how lightning could take down my connection. |

kudos:1 | Lightning could be affecting power which is affecting the DSLAM, if remote. If you are indeed a direct feed from the C.O., it is possible that the crossbox, terminal, or section that is above ground could be getting affected. And FWIW, lightning does affect buried services. I've had to repair a few cables that were buried and had got burnt by lightning. Later... Mike.... |
