 | usenet I switched from comcast hi speed, 1500Kpbs, to uverse 6000Kpbs. Now my usenet provider (same one I had with old cable) downloads at half the speed, now ~600000B/s vs ~1010000B/s with cable. Is something wrong or is uverse just slower?
BTW my test speed at speedtest.dslreports.com is 5650Kpbs and please excuse B/s vs Kpbs. |

 | Do you have uverse or regular DSL?
Anyway, my guess is you're seeing comcast's burst rate (powerboost). How big are the files you're dl'ing at usenet? |
|
 | I have uverse.
File size - big.
Powerboost, thought that was for internet only. |

 | I guess if the question should be why with a 3x times faster connection why would powerboost matter. Power boost must really work well.
I am now officially reconsidering going back to my old cable. It seem like I am finding a new limitation of uverse once a week. |
