Unlocking Factory Reset sunrocket linksys 2102-R.

We found a way to unlock linksys 2102-R after factory reset.
I have a sunrocket configuration file that will set the admin password to one of the known passwords. This file will be accepted by any factory reset sunrocket linksys 2102-R

Please don't send me any PMs. I will post the file to the public tomorrow morning.

In light of that, please disregard my last PM.

I completed the unlock successfully. Here is what I did.
1. Change my LAN ips to 67.133.234.x. (on my router)
2. Installed Apache on one machine. Updated DHCP server (on router) to give IP address 67.133.234.53 to the machine running Apache http server.
3. Open Httpd.conf file and change default type to "application/text" from "text/plain"
4. Copy the config file to /htdocs/gms/linksys/SPA-2102/2102/lower_case_mac_address.cfg
5. Start the apache server and test it by going to 67.133.234.53 from another machine
6. Connect SPA to the router using ethernet cable.
7. Connect SPA to power
8. Wait for two lights to be solid green on SPA. Check /logs/access.log to see that the config file was pulled.

Final: Try unlock procedure using the IVR instructions at DSLR and on web.

Congratulations on finding a configuration file that will unlock devices (and uses the password that we cracked, nonetheless!)!

Kudos

Tried it...

Squid throws it to apache...

79309925 still gives me "Invalid Password", and, to boot, now I can't access the web interface at ALL...

Besides, this wouldn't work.

The config files are encrypted PER DEVICE. Based somehow on MAC or Serial# or some combination of the above.

Sorry, folks.

No, they aren't. The config encryption is not device specific, even though the configuration data is.

vilerage, I assume you did a factory reset of the 2102 before using this file?

The file worked for me several times, with and without factory reseting. Without factory reset you have to wait for the resync, but sometimes rebooting resyncs once. Also as a way to reset your spa you should grab the file from sunrocket site as well. I don't know how to prevent the file from being tampered with.

First time downloaded: (md5sum -b filename) 7b46d99947430cd66974f4a8fcd00dac

Second time: (md5sum -b filename) a0dc64d319e9876fceb52ace73a6fbe9

Neither of which match your posted checksum.

Very minor differences between the actual files, but differences nonetheless.

It looks like the differences are from different capture sessions - cut above 0x50 and below 0xA050 and they are the same.

I see some additional bytes in the file when I downloaded it. I wonder why

If somebody has a better location to post the file. Please send me a PM.

Not too familiar with the method of posting files on DSLR, but can't you compress the file and put the compressed file here instead? Hopefully that should help with keeping the original intact.

The mime type is showing as "text/html" it should be application/octet-stream instead. Please check your server configuration.

Don't know why you get this Linksys/SPA-2102-5.1.9 as URL will be used only for firmware upgrade to 5.1.9. The enclosed cfg file did not turn on request for firmware upgrade.

Use the new file and check md5sum.
