Another alternative is to switch to Business service for $99 per month (with contract).
I checked with the Office de Protection de la Consommateur about what recourse we have against the Tron, and they informed me that while you can't sue a company in small claims court to uphold the terms a contract, you can sue for damages. So I might switch to the Business service to preserve the Unlimited downloads, then sue Videotron for the damages (additional fees incurred over the life of the contract). I am sending them a nasty letter today to inform them of this; we'll see what happens! |
