DadCooksPremium join:2005-02-28 Kennewick, WA | AT&T - The Truth Hurts I switched from AT&T/Cingular (longtime abused customer) to T-Mobile a little more than a year ago. We have a family plan with 4 people. With AT&T we got used to uncompleted calls, dropped calls, and reception holes every day!
With T-Mobile we have not had one case of a dropped call, uncompleted call, or no reception. Sure hope T-Mobile can keep up with this level of service. |

I would not have even thought about going to tmobile because of past horror stories. I had a problem with verizon coverage in my area and they are sending a technician out to take a look at the towers and test the wireless signal around here.

Dropped calls is precisely why I switched. Well, that, and the absolutely dismal customer service. |

Re: Can you hear me now? - Loud & Clear ATT was giving me fits with their unyielding (and unwilling) "customer service" people, that's why I switched to T-Mobile. That and a dirt cheap plan which fits the bill! The little guys have been bending over backwards to make things right by giving away lots of free minutes and trying to fill in the dead spaces with new cells. Works for me.

Re: AT&T - The Truth Hurts Funny, that is the exact same reason I switched. On top of that, I told T-Mobile that we had no reception at the house we just bought. About two weeks later I received a notice in response to my call that there was a service upgrade in my area. Now I have reception on my third floor, better then no reception. I also picked up a hotspot compatible phone. After a bit of tweaking, and a call or two to tech support, it works great. I don't pay any extra, so it still counts against my time, but at least it works. Cingular/AT&T is still in use by the company I work for. They don't have service at the house either. Well they do, but the reception is so bad that every single call drops, and there is no outgoing. I reported this to management as they tend to be annoyed when I don't answer the phone. They reported it to telecom who in turn told Cingular, who said get a new phone. I have a new phone, reception is worse. |

Re: Can you hear me now? Uhm, BS?
I just checked the NYSE, and Deutsche Telekom has about 130 billion in total assets; and ATT has 270 billion in assets as of 2006.
Unless that just means ATT charges more... |

I don't know about Deutsche Telekom, but AT&T also provides wireline, DSL, and IPTV. Surely you can't say a wireless company is bigger because it also provides those things. |
