 | Virgin Mobile Virgin Mobile often ranks highest for most reliable service. Oddly, they are on the Sprint network.
I have Sprint personal and ATT work phone. I know of a couple dense spots in the city where ATT consistently drops - can predict call to drop. Haven't dropped much with Sprint in last couple years, especially since they've added CDMA to thousands of Nextel sites.
Verizon is running into capacity issues as they are growing customers w/out growing network capacity. A friend of mine on VZW doesn't get dropped calls, but rather a 'network busy' when trying to place a call.
I honestly think Sprint has the best network now, especially when it comes to data. It's Sprint's support that sucks so bad that they don't have the growth rate. Sprint is a better tech company than a consumer company. They should split off the voice service as an MVNO and focus on the network. |

Overland Park is Sprint's operations headquarters, yet Sprint employees within their OWN campus often can't get coverage. Their hometown is spotted with coverage, and most people I talk to here are highly frustrated with Sprint. -- |- The LP »www.lp.org/issues/issues.shtml -| |- Cato @ Liberty »www.cato-at-liberty.org -| |

Well if there are 10K+ users trying to connect to a few towers in one location, that's probably difficult to manage. I travel the US many times over and find Sprint's coverage to be way better than in the past. To the point that coverage/reliability isn't an issue, especially with good roaming agreements too. Customer support however still sucks. |
