it's a shame

it's never been true.. every person i've talked to with Cingular said it was never true.. lucky for me my phone (T-mobile) does not need to roam on AT&T's towers much.

I have so many dropped calls that my friends don't even ask questions anymore ... they just wait for me to dial back! -- I have even had my call dropped WHILE TALKING TO A CINGULAR CUSTOMER SERVICE REP --- for the very issue!

what is the service like in NYC? I never had an issue with T-mobile..

as for nextel (a little off topic) during holidays like the 4th of July I had some issues with "Network Busy" out of the whole month I saw that about 4 times.. and only twice out of a year with T-mobile.

There are known holes ... but ATT will deny it -- too much of a coincidence that certain points in the city the signal just drops.

I have to hang my head of my basement apt to use my phone ...and I used to think ... well ...ok that is just my building ...UNTIL my sister in law was visiting last month from Florida and was using her cellphone all over the place in my apartment with no problem.

I upgraded to a blackberry -- so it is not a hardware issue...

Ironically ... I had ATT for years -- and was rather disgusted with them -- switched to cingular ... and now here I am ... back with ATT against my will

well for me with T-mobile the only issue I have now is my building.. it was built back in the 50's so it's like all metal so I can't really get a signal at all maybe 1-3 bars but 5 bars near a window it's annoying but I can live with it for right now.

Dude, you have FiOS. Get a wireless router (if you don't already) and T-Mo @home. Problem solved.

Not anymore.. I moved from my family member's house who I ordered Fios for.. and these lazy bums called Verizon are dragging their feets as far as apartments so Im getting OOL and getting boost so I can get my 30Mbps/5Mbps

and I don't want T-mo @home since you need another phone for that and I already have 4 as it is..
