The beta 1.06 is available again, so I dared to try it this time (though I won't be running the "thin client" thing). Seems 1.06 is a different branch of 1.04 because 1.06 has the bridge mode setting that is no longer in 1.05 (or maybe they added it back being beta; and there's no problem with SPI being off like 1.04). It also has a couple settings on the Advanced Wireless page not in 1.05, being "Multicast To Unicast" and "A-MPDU Aggregation" (but there is no help added about them). The website blacklist ability is gone again, but I guess that's taken over by the securespot section now. Also the Wireless Status % levels seem more realistic again (seemed too high with 1.05, one client was always close to 100% before).

Just got info from D-Link to download and join in on this beta. Haven't installed it yet though. Anyone here using a Mac/OS X with this thing? All Macs at my house. Info for the standalone DSD-150 unit says Mac OS is supported, so I'm assuming this will work with Mac as well.

And no, I will not share the firmware with anyone so please don't ask! The e-mail from D-Link clearly states that the firmware is for beta testers only and is not to be shared with anyone. If you didn't get signed up for the beta testing you'll have to wait until it's released. SORRY!

Hi.

If you are on the Beta program for this, you can go to the special beta forums they set up and you should find a place to request the tweaked 1.06 firmware that fixes a few items.

Someone posted a URL to the signup web page, and that's how I got in. I don't remember if it was on here or somewhere else, and I didn't keep/bookmark the URL after I signed up. Sorry!

They have released a 1.06 beta 2 at least that is my understanding of what I downloaded the other day. Don't know if it fixed anything or not, haven't tried it.

If you PM me or email me we can compare notes on what might or might note be different.

Hi,

You have to sign up and be accepted in to the Beta program. Installing the 1.06 Beta firmware gets you nothing because you won't be in the database of allowed testers...or so I was told.

The 1.06 is built off the 1.04 firmwware so you actually lose a faeture or two from the 1.05 such as Website Blacklisting....

I discovered that 1.06 does not retain enabled virtual servers - for example I enable port 33333 for particular app (BT), save settings, and then later on (not sure exactly when) the checkbox is unmarked again.

I think it is a real bug. Anyone seen this?

Couple of questions:

Does this fix a few major issues with the 1.5 firmware, such as:

1. The inability to impost MAC Address Filters on the Wireless side only (like the DGL-4300 does).

2. Return the Firewall options missing in the current firmware (IPSec Pass-Thru, PPTP, FTP, etc...)
