They always blurry here and they look the same.
If you check it out look at the URGE channel 679 (Smoke). The guide data labels it as Science Fiction and the description says it is about Gisel Dells Chiara describing Havanah Cuba and the cigars you can get there. |

1 edit | The Urge channels are not the only channels with problems, it is just easier to see the picture problem that started with the IMG rollout on Urge because nothing moves. Same with the scores on ESPN News.
By the way, Urge never looked as bad as it does now through the 6416 before the IMG, and it still looks the crisp way it always did through my TiVo. |

| reply to SGR my girlfriend just ordered Harry Potter on demand and i swear its like watching it on vhs. i want to call tech support tomorrow but thats probably not going to solve anything. all sd channels look so much worse ever since the upgrade. i'm glad i wasn't one of the people "begging" for this piece of garbage to arrive. hiccuping scrolls, lousy resolution, and an ugly interface to boot. i'll try using component cables tomorrow.
stupid question here but...is there any way to request a hddvr box from V* that has the IPG? it was so simple and neat.  |

| I think this may similar to the problem occurring in the Phila area. CSN-HD 829 and CSN-SD 65 seem to be solidly paired somehow. One major problem here is when we try to record on 829 (HD) it always records on 65 (SD) instead. I posted it in the Direct Forum a few days ago and they still don't have a solution.
Just curious ... Are you able to record on 801? Or does it instead record on 861? |

I guess the box gets confused when two stations are showing identical data with no distinction between them. They need to put the HD logo on the HD station. If you go into the guide and select HD channels only, does it leave that one out? It does for me. |

I tried it here and it does leave out the HD channel guess because it's missing the HD logo, like you said.
I think when it's setting up the recording, it thinks the two stations are the same and it just picks the first one it finds. In both of our cases it's recording the lower numbered one. Yours just happens to be in HD and ours happens to be in SD.
How could they close out your ticket? It's still broken. I'd open another one if they did.
(we probably should switch over to the new sticky that got set up for the new IMG ) |

1 edit | Actually I just got a call from Verizon asking if it's been fixed. I explained to her that it's not and how to fix it. It's a simple thing to fix. I mentioned you guys too. She was very helpful. I threw a couple of other bugs at her too. She seemed like they wanted to get all issues resolved. I was impressed they called and were concerned. She said she would follow up with me. Thanks Brandy! |
