They'll never see a penny

IMO, the RIAA/Sound Exchange will never see a penny from these royalties. It's just their way of getting Internet radios to depend on the RIAA and play whatever artist they're trying to sell at the moment.

RIAA: "Oh, so you want to play Malevolent Creation and not the latest Hillary Duff teeny bopper tune? Fine, just pay us $5,000,000 and you're off the hook."

Internet Radio: "Well, on second thought..."
