My magic Rocks protects your from tigers. How do I know. Well ive never seen a Tiger in the U.S. It must work I tell you. Why must you question my veracity and credibility. If I tell you something just believe me. What do you have to lose.... It's only your freedoms? Who cares a bout those anyways.
Now to a serious tone. Terrorism, while a problem, is a lot of smoke and mirrors by politicians. While one should never tolerate people killing others, history is full of a lot worse. First off, every sect / religion has constantly murdered the other for eons. The Christians Slaughtered the Muslims in the Crusades. The Nazis (Hitler being a Catholic) slaughtered the Jews. The Jews started the 7 day war with the Muslims in violation of the Nato Treaty. Their intent was to acquire more land for Israel and kick out the Muslims from Jerusalem. Hence, stabbing themselves in the foot by being officially unrecognized by countries like Egypt for many years. Years later, the Serbs killed 100,000 Muslim men, women, children in the Serbian War... Today, we have Muslims killing people in their holy war. The problem we see here is more bigotry than not. In all the above cases, people wrote it off as part of history. Yet, some reason, those damn Muslims are out to kill everyone. Wrong. Newsflash.
First, throughout history, the muslims have NOT been the aggressors in most cases. Second, if you break down the deaths in the U.S. due to terrorism, you are going to feel stupid for trading your rights. Let's figure 5000 people died from 9/11 (3000 there), School Shootings, Oklahoma City, Abortion Clinics, etc. over the last 20 years. That breaks down to around 250 deaths a year. Now, lets look at the U.S. Murder rate. 20-22,000 people die annually. Your odds 100x more likely to be a victim of crime than terrorism. Not to mention, historically speaking, you got more of a chance to be a victim of the Christian Religious Right than Muslim Terrorism. So lets get of the bandwagon of stupidity and stop letting politicians strip our rights. Every idiot who thinks this solves something is the epitome of being UNAMERICAN. After all Franklin said it best. Those who trade liberties for security deserve neither. IF you dare trade your rights for such a small chance of violence, you are a FOOL. Go look at history and the murder rate and compare that to Terrorism as I said above. You'll feel quite stupid for listening to the politicians who'd have you believe otherwise for their own political gains. |

1 edit | Well if you want to be scared, fear the Christian Radical Right and Crime. That's fear mongering with a tad bit of validity, historically / factually speaking. However, for the rest of us, we'll just live our lives. There's nothing wrong with taking a few preventative measures to stop a problem (more airport security, security at federal buildings, etc). Prevention to some degree is good. Yet, the levels this fear mongering of every Muslim out to get you rises to the extreme. Politicians realize that the majority of Americans will shut of their brains with that word. Then, they proceed to lube us up and rape us from every angle. It's time this stops. Sadly, there are too many who take this molarchy at face value and don't see trading up their rights as anything too costly. |

| Every person has the potential to kill. You could be walking down the street, get mugged, shot, robbed, etc. Your likelihood of that is infinitesimally greater than being the victim of a Muslim Terrorist. Then again, it's people like who you make the rest of us look bad with those stupid comments. Congrats. Foreigners who read this will continue to think America is full of morons. Go look at those murder statistics in the U.S. and compare that to deaths by terrorism. I'm sure those 500,000 murdered Americans pale in comparison to the 5000 or so ones killed by acts of terrorism (of which includes School shootings, Oklahoma city, etc). |

Rosie, you say that you fear the Christian Right more than Muslim terrorists. Why. When has the Christian Right ever killed people for changing religions, or be raped.

Muhammad organized 65 military campaigns in the last ten years of his life and personally led 27 of them. The more power that he attained, the smaller the excuse needed to go to battle, until finally he began attacking tribes merely because they were not part of his growing empire.
After Muhammad's death, his most faithful followers and even his own family turned on each other almost immediately. There were four Caliphs (leaders) in the first twenty-five years. Three of the four were murdered. The third Caliph was murdered by the son of the first. The fourth Caliph was murdered by the fifth, who left a 100-year dynasty that was ended in a gruesome, widespread bloodbath by descendents of Muhammad's uncle.
Muhammad's own daughter, Fatima, and his son-in-law, Ali, who both survived the pagan hardship during the Meccan years safe and sound, did not survive Islam after the death of Muhammad. Fatima died of stress from persecution within three months, and Ali was later assassinated. Their son (Muhammad's grandson) was killed in battle with the faction that became today's Sunnis. His people became Shias. The relatives and personal friends of Muhammad were mixed into both warring groups, which then fractured further into hostile sub-divisions as Islam grew.
Muhammad left his men with instructions to take the battle against the Christians, Persians and Jews. For the next four centuries, Muslim armies steamrolled over unsuspecting neighbors, plundering them of loot and slaves, and forcing the survivors to either convert or pay tribute at the point of a sword.
Companions of Muhammad lived to see Islam declare war on every major religion in the world in just the first few decades following his death - pressing the Jihad against Hindus, Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians, and Buddhists.
By the time of the Crusades (when the Europeans began fighting back), Muslims had conquered two-thirds of the Christian world by the sword, from Spain to Syria, and across North Africa. And that's just the early years.
Just balancing out your speech about how Muslims are so innocent. But of course this is not politically correct, so it must be rejected as a fanaticle muslim-phobic narrative. Well whatever, it doesn't change the truth of the matter. And by the way, to call these politicians "Christian" is madness. Current "Right-Wingers" are far from Christian and are just about two steps behind the "Left-Wingers"

If you look strictly at body counts in the past 50 years, the worst things that Christian terrorists have done is bomb abortion clinics. The individuals involved were hunted down and prosecuted. Their acts were condemend by mainstream Christians.
Meanwhile, Muslim terrorists continue to slaughter more and more people every day with no condemnation by other Muslims.

Second, no, we were attacked. See there's a difference in defending yourself and attacking the proper entity (Japan) and going after the wrong guy (Iraq).

1) Holocaust - 6 Million Dead Jews.. Plus dead blacks, gays, gypsies
2) Bosnian war where SERBIA was the Agressor. Christian Serbia wanted a greater Yugoslavia and so the Christian Serbs KILLED the Albanian Muslims. I think the body count is somewhere around 100,000 men, women, children. Many of which have never been found. Those #'s are low preliminary estimates. I think the actual death count is much higher.

1. Im not scared of Peacefull Muslims
2. I am scared of a Man Claiming to be a Muslim carrying a bomb to do harm to others in the name of their religion.
3. The Radical Muslims tend to make their peacefull counterparts look suspicious because they do terrible things under the same peacefull religion. |

Its also puzzling to me how you compare the crime statistics to something like the events of September 11th.
on one side you have the accumulations of deaths over the Continental US over the coarse of a year.
Compared to hijacking air liners and flying them into the largest financial district in the word, crashing them into sky scrappers, flying an Airliner in the Central Command of the Department of Defense.
Resulting in the closing of our countries financial markets for 3 days and the grounding of the entire American commercial airliner fleet for almost a week.
and this was all accomplished within 2 hours...
Sure crime is a problem, but to say one or the other is more important, just seems silly. |
