| Using Yum to updated a RHEL 4 Server
Hey guys, I am in need of some help, I have a RHEL 4 Server that is no longer part of the RedHat Network (dont want to pay the Red Hat Tax) and wanted to make the switch to YUM, but, have been having problems finding any good write up for this use. The current install pretty much complains like crazy if I run yum update where its like ie
Any idea? Anyone else done this?

| reply to Zuhaib Thanks, actually as it just so happen I was burning the midnight oil and found this post to there mailing list: »lists.centos.org/pipermail/cento···792.html and was able to work with that to get a lot of issues resolved. It was also then i noticed that my rpmforge was set to check for RHEL 5 RPM's not 4, which is why the dependency where missing. Once i changed that i got most of the issues resolved, with only one package refusing to update because its an i386 and my system is x86_64 so i just exclude it out when i do the update. -- I am Pakistani And No!
