| reply to Feets Re: So, who buying an iphone?
said by Feets :Considering the industry as a whole has about the shittiest service and support out of the entire category of service companies, that's really saying something. The stuff AT&T pulls on their customers, and in turn pulls on us, is beyond asinine. I'm obviously not able to go into detail, but needless to say calling in to Rogers and speaking with someone there is an outright pleasurable experience compared to the morons* I get to deal with at AT&T.
* now, not everyone at AT&T are morons. Their Tier 2 support is done in Canada for the most part, and there is a distinct quality difference between the obviously-American reps and the ones handled in Canada. It's gotten to the point that, on many occasions, I refuse to deal with anyone unless they're located in Canada. It makes -that- big of a difference. |

Only a VERY FEW people with an axe to grind and the need to risk the money they paid for an iPhone will ever bother. If my experience is any indication, every AT&T customer has an axe to grind with them, and their support and service is the shittiest I have ever seen of any cellco I have ever dealt with in the past. .
Sure, it is really killing them.
They added NET 1.5 million wireless customers in the last qtr. »quicktake.morningstar.com/StockN···Symbol=T
Analyst Note 07-24-2007 AT&T added about 1.5 million net new wireless customers during the quarter, so iPhone clearly had a positive impact on growth, which bodes well for the current period. Wireless revenue growth continues to accelerate thanks to good customer growth increasing adoption of data services. »www.marketresearch.com/product/d···9023&g=1
At the end of 2006 AT&T Wireless had 61 million customers. Add in the approx 2.5 million added since then and AT&T now has close to 64 million customers. It sure doesn't look like they are leaving in droves, or at all for that matter. -- -- Internet News My BLOG My Web Page |

| reply to MmmPancakes said by MmmPancakes :But the "hackers" are always a step ahead. It's just an arms race between Apple and the hackers. The thing is, every single software update that comes out for the iPhone will break the hack. It ends up being a lot like running Mac OS X on a PC. You can do it, but is it worth the time? |
