Re: Post a photo of something you ate todaysaid by medbuyer:ate Kimchi Fried rice at an authentic korean owned grocery / fast food place...while waiting for a kid's party to finish....
paired with deviled eggs and an ice cold bottle of diet coke, while reading Tony Northrup's DSLR tips on my Asus Transformer. the Asus Transformer looks out of place J/K I can do the kimchi fries (cause I didn't taste the kimchi in it), but anything else kimchi-I can't do at all... and I'm korean-we even have a separate frig at the house for kimchi... it drives my wife and inlaws crazy... cause I'll eat other things that they say are just like it... I've tried the different variations and it does nothing for me.... |

More foodstuff.... My tasty Stew/Stroganoff/Whatever it is... It's got pasta, organic Italian chicken sausage, green beans, potatos, carrots, olives, Crimini mushrooms, beef stock and other stuff I don't recall. Tastes SO good the next day after the flavors have melded. Good with a dollop of sour cream and crunchy French Bread.
Today's Brekky - Two eggs on S.F. Sourdough, diced up deli roast beef, onions and red jalapenos. Topped with a mexican cheese blend, and liberal amounts of sea salt & pepper along with homemade Orange Hab powder and Marie's XXXhot Hab sauce.
Mmmmm...

EASTMAN KODAK Z740 ZOOM DIGITAL CAMERA 6.3mm 1/60th F2.8 ISO140 Ready for the grill
EASTMAN KODAK Z740 ZOOM DIGITAL CAMERA 6.3mm 1/60th F2.8 ISO80 Mmmmm, tasty!
*I added red potatoes and sweet potatoes. I think next time some bell pepper will go in with it too.
Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs
Ingredients 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup cider vinegar 2 tablespoons honey 2 tablespoons canola oil 10 large mushrooms, cut in half 2 green onions, minced 3 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into chunks 1/2 pound sliced thick cut bacon, cut in half 1 (8 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained skewers Directions 1. In a large bowl, mix the soy sauce, cider vinegar, honey, canola oil, and green onions. Place the mushrooms and chicken into the mixture, and stir to coat. Cover, and marinate in the refrigerator at least 1 hour. 2. Preheat grill for high heat. 3. Remove the mushrooms and chicken from the marinade and shake off excess. Pour the marinade into a small saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes; set aside. 4. Wrap the chicken chunks with bacon, and thread onto skewers so that the bacon is secured. Alternate with mushroom halves and pineapple chunks. 5. Lightly oil the grill grate. Arrange skewers on the prepared grill. Cook 15 to 20 minutes, brushing occasionally with remaining soy sauce mixture, until bacon is crisp and chicken juices run clear.

Yup, more Brekky stuff. Turkey Pastrami and Scrambled Eggs w/ Jalapeno and Onion on 12-Grain Toast 5.8mm 1/45th F2.8 ISO100
One slice of the pastrami was fried up then laid on the toast after a swipe of my homemade chinese hot mustard and mayo, a couple more slices got diced along with onion and a red jalapeno and then scrambled in with the eggs. Topped with shredded cheese, a drizzle of Hidden Valley Bacon Ranch dressing and the obligatory S&P. Yummy. |

it's a sort of take off I did about me being on hard times, based on a local news story where a guy who was a greeter at the Muscatine, Iowa Wal-Mart got fired for handing out photos of himself wearing a Wal-Mart bag and telling them it was their new uniform. I did a crude photoshop on the text and photo to have it be about me |

Hmmm, this is strange. If Firefox I can only see the pic of the brownie and parfait on my last post. But in Chrome I also see the pic of the burrito. This is on 2 different computers. Wonder why? |

The other day, I poured the fullest beer humanly possible...only the surface tension is keeping it alive... 5.8mm 1/45th F2.8 ISO100

Yes, that was in one pour and completely on accident. That is a 16oz mug and I was pouring from a larger beer when suddenly my cat rubs against my leg. I looked away for a second, then realized I was still pouring JUST in time to stop. This is the result. (Don't fret, a quick slurp and then no party foul had occurred..didn't spill a drop) |
