Made with my favorite hotdog, the Angus Oscar Mayer Selects. I got 'em on sale for $3.49/pkg. so it's even tastier.

I used a next-to-heel peice of SF Sourdough bread as a "bun", slathered it in jalapeno salsa, added the pre-warmed and cut to fit hotdog, topped off with cheddar cheese and slices of shallot.
Gave it a minute in the toaster oven to meltify and warm it all then CHOMP TIME!!

I might give them a try. I've been eating Hebrew National lately but I like to keep an open mind. |

| I like 'em because they are more natural than most and have a rich and smokey flavor too. Celery juice is the cure I think, it has naturally occuring nitrates.
IDK of these are Kosher or not, that really isn't much of a concern for me. HN are great dogs though for sure. --

It's gonna be over 90° today and for the next few days...argh!
Thus, I'm having my signature mocha-nilla quad iced latte.

It was only 800x743 though, so unless you're on a 15" CRT that shouldn't be THAT big. --

1 edit | reply to SueS It's too hot to cook, so I made a bigazz curried chicken salad sandwich.
Yeah, I used tinned chicken breast...cooking requires heat, which I've had enough of.
Veggies are green onions, shallot, carrot, celery and pickled green olives. Red leaf lettuce as well. The mustard is 50/50 mix of my homemade Chinese hot mustard w/ orange habs and regular Dijon mustard. The bottle of brown powder on the right is my homemade chipotle/jolokia blend.
All on SF Sourdough bread.

I might give them a try. I've been eating Hebrew National lately but I like to keep an open mind. Same here I usually go back and forth between hebrew and nathans. Those angus are pretty tasty tho. I like to dice up some vidalia throw some dill relish, celery salt and mustard on em. I can get a 3 pack of hebrews for 8.50 here at BJs. -- Professional student pilot! |

| reply to SueS My Brunch Snack.

Sliced turkey with turkey gravy served up hot on SF Sourdough. Added some colbyjack cheese (besides being delicious, it acts as a barrier keeping the bread from getting soggy) and chopped Walla Walla onion in the gravy. Liberal pepper and Old Bay Seasoning applied as well. --

It's Mid-Summer and I'm still in single digits for lobstahs eaten. No steamahs today as I was mowing the yard while my vacationing brother and sister did the shopping.
My oyster count is probably shy of 48 too. Slow Summer. |
