Zucchini bread? 1st picture I was thinking Banana bread and 2nd picture I was thinking Date & nut bread.

Zucchini never even came into the equation!

The zucchini is grated so you don't even really see it in the bread except for a few green flakes. Even my 4 year old, who turns his nose up at zucchini, ate a whole slice and asked for more.

Good idea, poor execution
This is why I don't use a bread machine. I'll make a proper loaf tomorrow the right way. It's a matter of pride, now.

You bake bread!!! Can I come eat at your house? I don't like to cook, I do cook, because I like to eat.

Thanks for sharing, I am glad a few people around here are eating!

My son asked, "What is that supposed to be?"
Ungrateful, little brat.

SueS See Profile,

I'm the cook at our house. My wife can, but doesn't like to and prefers my cooking as do the boys. Normally, I stick to simple breads like focaccia or pizza crust. I tried to get by with all-purpose flour instead of high-gluten bread machine flour. Obviously, not a good plan.

Tonight is tuna casserole. Tomorrow is pork loin roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn and (I hope) bread. I'm thinking a nice Pinot. I usually make a big batch of pancakes one weekend morning, freezing the extras for quick breakfasts for the boys during the week. Lasagna is my specialty. The sauce is from scratch, starting with canned tomatoes (I did it from fresh tomatoes I grew once, but that's just too much work). Again, extra sauce is frozen for quicker meals during the week or for Friday night pizza.

As promised.

The pork loin is on the grill, the potatoes are peeled, the spa is hot and I just opened a 2004 Iron Horse Pinot Noir.

I didn't embellish, but I'll admit to leaving out a few key details that would make it all appear less unseemly.

A good late night snack...but a crappy camera unfortunatly.

Pork egg rolls and Flaming Joe's Code Red "The Widow Maker" Habanero sauce.

(think Dave's Insanity x3, those chunks are habs)

Yummers!

The Free Desert that Five of us Shared
We had out-of-town company this past May. We were at the Legends in Village West in KCK. We were looking for a good place to eat lunch. Someone from the Saddle Ranch Chop House urged us to come in and eat. We were enticed by a free desert. The food was great!
