A couple of weeks ago we had a Thunderstorm go through and knock both POTS phones out in the house on a Friday Night. Repair gave us an ETR of Thursday. Thats 6 days for fixing dailtone which gets higher priority than DSL.
Consider your self lucky only for having 2 quoted.
