Existing cusotmers and new promotions...

or give it to me with no term

Verizon and Qwest require a 2-year term to get the price for life, but Embarq has been doing it with no term.

It is important to know if Verizon allows existing customers to take advantage of new promotions... if not it seems silly locking yourself into a price for life with a product that has seen price decreases over the past few years.
